Physical Buildout
Here you’ll find the information needed to build the primary physical structures in a Piper Van.
Sequence of steps:
- Build the shelves (see drawings below)
- Install floor
- Install partition
- Install mounting hardware
- Install front wall
- Install deck
- Install cabinets and other shelves
- Install remaining wall sections

3D Printed Fixtures
There are many ways to print the fixtures you’ll need to keep your PVC fittings organized. Below are the processes that have worked well for us.
Process
We use Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printers - these are generally what you’ll find in schools, the library, or someone’s garage.
Material
We’ve had good success with PLA filament.
Print Files
Download these 3D print files and print them for installation in the 2” and 1.5” fittings drawers. it usually takes a few days of printing on one printer (much less hands on time) to print all the fixtures for one van.
